Back-to-School Vaccines
CCPH offers all recommended and required vaccines for school. Check with your child’s pediatrician before Kindergarten starts to ensure their vaccinations are current. Students entering 7th and 12th grades should also have up-to-date vaccines.
Students are required by the Ohio Revised Code to be fully protected against 10 vaccine-preventable diseases: Diphtheria, Hepatitis B, Measles, Meningococcal, Mumps, Pertussis, Polio, Rubella, Tetanus, and Varicella. These diseases can cause serious health problems if children's shots are not current. Additional information regarding K-12 immunization requirements can be found in the Ohio Revised Code 3313.67 and 3313.671.
Beat the back-to-school rush! CCPH offers Back-to-School Immunization Clinics so you can conveniently schedule your child's vaccines.
Seasonal Vaccines
We recommend that all adults and children six months and older get the recommended yearly respiratory illness immunizations. Aim to get these immunizations in the fall.
